China's fifth-generation stealth fighter J20 makes debut at Zhuhai Airshow

nice

Reading the comments is interesting and funny.
It seems like anything the Chinese develop is said to be a copy or stolen
anything the west develops is somehow innovative and original.
yep ;)

It's funny in the same way some people consider the Chinese government stealing plans and specs for the plane not to be stealing. It it wasn't innovative and original, why steal it? Oh, I forgot, it's not stealing when the inscrutable oriental does it.

You might want to read a newspaper now and then.

wow, talk about cliches no one said anything or called you on it, mmmm interesting

I don't know if all orientals are inscrutable, having spent much of my life living in Asian communities
I don't find them so.

I would suggest that you might want to find out what the US steals from other countries
as far as industrial secretes.

The Chinese have come a long way in a very short period of time.
I find it odd that the US seems to be the only country allowed to modernize its
weaponry and no one seems to question it, only when select countries do
are their motives questioned.

The real issue with gen-5 tech and the Chinese is their top down command and control systems.

To properly utilize this kind of technology requires large numbers of people making decisions independently. In the Chinese military this isnt likely to happen.

What this means is that given an equivalent system their reactions will always be slower and less efficient.

It also means that in order to win against a similarly equipped force utilizing a Western command and control system that they must be the aggressor.

How can they say it's better when it's never been shown in competition against a fully resisting opponent?

Technical specification.
but
from the musical point of view - better tech. spec., not directly translates for better sound ... :)

To date, US fighter pilots are the best because they train under all conditions and have FREEDOM.
If other pilots (non US) were to train this way, they would be a formidable force in their own country for bringing freedom and forcing the hands of their dictators to seek freedom for their respective country
When fascism comes to US America, It will be wrapped in the US flag and waving a cross. An astute patriot

I shouldn’t but what the hell.

Freedom has nothing to do with it.
All men want to and expect to live when engaged in war.
As far as equipment. The US has yet to test its fighter pilots against equal or greater threats
To say they are best is as of yet really unproven.

It would be better to say that they have the best equipment designed according to the war fighting doctrine the US follows.
China and other countries have a different doctrine that they follow. Their equipment is designed in accordance with this in mind.

With this mind there are trade offs which hopefully never get tested by either side.

As China expands and modernizes it's forces so too will their doctrine change.

Oh yeah? Who has better fighter pilots? Who has tested their equipment against better than the US inventory? The Chinese? The Russians? Where?
