Images of my Region in China - Part Seven

Rum, beer, movies, nice websites, gaming, etc., without interrupting the flow of martial threads.

got ya. yeah i test my fajin on tree's and bags and people, when safe.

the forms?
As the greatest will tell, I will do to acquire.
The greatest masters did their forms up to 20 times per day and still made time for everything else.
The greats say "qi". Who am I to say no?
The greats say "Shen" Who am I to say no?
If you want what the greatest had, there is only one path.
"there is only so much water "qi" that can fit in a sponge 'you". when the sponge is full the gungfu comes out". Then everything is skill.

Nice story. Thank you for sharing. 8-) You should put together photos and stories from your adventures and publish a nice looking coffee table type of book. You are a gifted photographer, that book would sell.

I agree, its inspiring. Good job Maarten.

I think that after one has become great at fighting things like training the form 20 times per day can be pursued, but not before. ;)
That's why I'm not doing it (anymore).

Very cool stuff.

Thanks, mates.

The two shots with the stag beetle were like a nightmare to get. I saw the stag beetle as I was driving. It was about five metres from the road, through some dense undergrowth, but I am constantly on the lookout for these things. There were about two or three butterflies around as well. One landed there and I thought it was a gift from God, but it only opened its wings for a second at a time, every five minutes. Also, I had to use my arms to hold down tree branches, which made it hard to keep steady and I was sweating like a rapist in the extreme humidity. Worst, though, were all the mosquitoes biting my exposed arms.. :P

Maarten, I would second everyone's comments about doing the coffee table book, your photos are great and I think if they were professionally bound and then edited the book would sell like hotcakes.

My plan is to write up ten adventures I've had and put in a number of photos with captions. The number will depend on what the editor thinks is best. I plan to write at least two or three, as I've got enough stories and photos! Need to find a publisher first, though, which could be tough. Thanks for the support! ;D

Really great photography. Truly.

I would second the advice on the South and the West. Unless someone has a set training contact elsewhere, the quality of life is just better in those two regions.

Finally good luck with your adventuring. Figuring out how to pay for it is always the hard part.
