Postby everything on Sat Jan 14, 2017 8:05 pm

not sure what I hurt (will go to pt and doctor).

but it hurts at the bone on the inside of the right foot - not the main ankle bones you might think of but the one further down toward the bottom and front of the foot on the medial side. sustentaculum tali maybe?

anyone happen to know a lot about this?

I always found it easy to cure foot and ankle injuries with qi transmission to Gall Bladder-39, but don't think that's a common practice. However, finger tip pressure and mental focus on GB-39 for a few minutes from a lay person couldn't hurt.

My conclusion from those treatments is that GB-39 is effective for ankle and foot injuries, but I never treated instep pain.

That's all I got.

Everything,

I would head straight to a medical pro. It could be something like Navicular bone stress fracture or a crush injury to the soft tissues here or it could be a connective tissue injury or similar. Xray and relevant scans should reveal more.

hope you heal up nice and quick.

thanks.

Thanks a lot, gents. By coincidence, I had to remove my gallbladder about a year ago. But GB-39 does sound good.

Middleway, yeah, I'm going in to PT as well as dr. Doesn't hurt much, but I can tell something is wrong.

Middleway made the best suggestion, especially compared to mine.

Just an FYI, in my very limited knowledge, there's no relationship between using GB-39 for ankle and foot problems and the removal of the organ, and doubtful any connection between your GB removal and your injury.

Tom Bisio's "A Tooth from the Tiger's Mouth" talks about sports injuries and mentions GB-39 as one of the several points useful for treatment, among many topics. Not sure if this is useful, but I like reading stuff like that.

I am only a medical professional, so my advice may not be held in the same esteem as a random internet site or a faith healer (just kidding. sort of). My advice: Go to your primary care doc. Get an X-ray. Bear in mind that X-ray's frequently are not sensitive enough to show a stress fracture or what we refer to as a lysis in progress (basically the early phase of a stress fracture). Stay off the foot as much as possible for a week or so. Wear sneakers, replace the insole with a very soft full length gel cushion (the thicker the better). If it were me I would take 600 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day for 5 to 7 days. If it has not resolved by at least 50% at the end of that time go see a sports medicine specialist.

Ok thanks a lot, Dr. Fish and Michael. Going to get checked out.

Yeah the GB point does seem rather interesting, though.
