Why the false topic heading ?

The article states "A Vatican newspaper has forgiven the late English singer John Lennon ".

A newspaper repeat a newspaper.

John Lennon was incorrect in his surmising that they "are all saying the same thing"

in fact, they are NOT saying the same thing. The central message to each is quite different.

If they were the same, they would have come to terms with each other by this point don't you think?

Remember Jesus and Buddah never wrote anything - all we have is scribbling of what people thought they meant several years after they had turned to dust ;D

Yeah. I'm sure John was all broken up over the Catholic church's dislike of him & what he said. It's like getting a "sorry" note from a 3rd grade bully 30 years later. So very irrelevant and pointless. I would like to think that John would have told them to stuff it.

I like to think of john lennon as a musician not as a philosopher of any merit.

Well, Graham, yet once again, the mere fact that you ever entertain thoughts of Jesus, although usually erroneously so, must be to your credit somehow or other. I guess time will tell, eh? ;)
