False flags and fake news. (Trump trigger warning)

The news story:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... flags.html

The highlights:
  • Activist Ryan Clayton handed out mini Russian flags with gold 'TRUMP' letters at CPAC while President Donald Trump was getting ready to speak
  • Security officers confiscated the flags and told audience members that they would be ejected if they waved them
  • Clayton was removed from the event as the flags were collected
  • He is also behind December ads featuring Hollywood stars asking presidential electors to ditch Trump
  • CPAC ejected white supremacist Richard Spencer on Thursday

The meme:

I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

There would be no story if people didn't wave the flags.

from Hannah Arendt:
I found in Brecht the following remark:

The great political criminals must be exposed and exposed especially to laughter. They are not great political criminals, but people who permitted great political crimes, which is something entirely different.

“One may say that tragedy deals with the sufferings of mankind in a less serious way than comedy.”
"It was already late. Night stood murkily over people, and no one else pronounced words; all that could be heard was a dog barking in some alien village---just as in olden times, as if it existed in a constant eternity." Andrey Platonov

Don't look down, but your bias is open.

It was a real false flag operation. But they knew they'd be caught out. Seems like a joke on Trump supporters to create a meme. And there is nothing wrong with a Russian flag anyway, except that it's embarrassing to Trump. Why that is....

But does Clayton work for the Huffington Post?

Oh, I didn't see how the CPAC rejection of the white supremacist is related.

Brooks said, “Trump today, he — you know, buy American, buy American, anti-free trade, and got big cheers. They’re waving Russian flags, probably partly as a joke. But, still, the party has become an ethnic nationalist party.

The flags, like the deplorable comment, sometimes people adopt things to make a joke or opposite statement.

He and those in his administrator have repeatedly asked that they be held accountable what is said and what is done. Its been shown time and time
again that the media seem to be either complicit in understanding that what they put out is fake or very sloppy. All that team "trump" have asked for is
accurate coverage, good or bad...

Some in the audience at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel happily took the Russian tricolor white, blue and red flags and waved them. America's own flag uses the same three hues.

Either way all that they are doing is speeding up the process of other outlets becoming the new way people get information.
The danger, IMO is the information is starting to be controlled by theose who develop the tech itself.
With China's great "fire wall" its very direct, in the US its very indirect
which to me is even more dangerous.

New research released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center with the Knight Foundation suggests that the social network’s hold on how we find news is continuing to grow. The problem here is that Facebook’s News Feed uses an algorithm to select the posts it thinks you’re most likely to read, which is worrisome for those who like to control their information diet.

The part they left out is that the algorithm used is set to reflect face books views...its not neutral.
