Just saying...

From Wikipedia.

The Native American Party, renamed the American Party in 1855 and commonly known as the Know Nothing movement, was an American nativist political party that operated nationally in the mid-1850s. It was primarily anti-Catholic, xenophobic and hostile to immigration, starting originally as a secret society.

Interesting. But in the US, except for black people (what is the politically correct way nowadays to write that someone is black?), it was the Chinese and Irishmen that took the biggest blows. Chinese especially were blamed to steal all of the jobs when the Goldrush calmed down. They were treated very bad. And amongst them were a lot of people who had got cheated and even kidnapped to the US to do cheap labor. And lot of Chinese women, many hundreds (at least) of them, even young children, were kidnapped and put in the brothels (most of them were from 12 to 16 years old, something that is now considered underage). The situation is too different to be comparable. IMO.
