I guess some lessons need to be learned the hard way.. On the plus side, civility on the metro (MTR?) seems to have improved markedly since my last venture in to the depths.. Perhaps it's an inverse relationship..

In Guangzhou it's called the metro (Hong Kong is MTR) and there's been a regular campaign since prior to the Asian Games 2010 held in Guangzhou to promote more polite behavior on public transport. They blare a PSA type message at every stop of every vehicle, metro and bus, to give up your seat for old people, preggos, kids, etc. It's working.
