we're all getting older. :-/

I do a bit of baguazhang babu stepping exercise. I've been finding by coincidence/accident if one does this across creaky floorboards, they make far less noise, possibly no noise. That was unexpected! Must be something with the angles (toe in then toe out etc) vs. just a linear walk.

yeah nothing like grappling to realize one is weaker than one thought haha. I'm part (small part) Mongolian, so wrestling is kinda interesting for me from that kind of ancestral pov too. same with mounted archery haha.

Haven't heard of Georgian Judo.

I think I originally posted in OTT, but maybe not.

I'm starting GMB Elements program soon, well next week.
This week just been familiarizing myself with some core material and the structure of the course which runs for 8 weeks.

I see this is being a great compliment to my taiji and MA stuff. I've been 'messing around' with bodyweight exercise, Yoga, stretching, animal/ground movements etc. quite a lot , some from my coach. However I just feel following these guys in a set program would be the best way forward for me at this point. It's good to have a set structure in front of you to follow which covers and integrates the 3 core areas of strength, mobility and flexibility in one place. And all the hard work in putting it together has been done, these guys seem to be well respected in the game and I've been drawn to their stuff over others so would like to think I've made a good choice ha ..

Definitely will be some new movements skills, really looking forward to get stuck in!

Ive read about the Mongolians and how pretty much any little thing can turn into a reason to have a wrestling match for fun

As for mounted archery, I didn't even know that was a thing. That look totally badass!

I've been cross training in hapkido the last number of years but it's really quite similar to what I've trained the last 30 years. More like training from a different angle.

Apart from that I sing in meditation ceremonies, shamanic sound healing. Very transformative.
