Acrylic mirrors

Anyone tried getting large acrylic mirrors? Is it necessary to get a thicker one (1/4") if you want decent reflection or it's ok to just use a thin one (1/8") and stick it on plywood? Any recommended place to get one? I see local Tap Plastics have it but they're somewhat expensive and ironically can only ship fairly small ones due to UPS limit.
