umm... thoughts?

I did my own graphics (dammit Jim, I'm a coder, not a graphic artist). If anyone wants to chuck me a logo I can proudly display I'd greatly appreciate it. My next task is to optimize the shit outta it for search engines.

If you want to advertise your business, I'll take the first 5 for free (for 1 year) just to put some content on the empty spots.
just PM me.

if you like any of the features (tag cloud, automated advertisers) contact me if you want some of the code - I wrote everything. Tag cloud is based on search results from incoming search engines. Runs on MySQL but should work on just about ANY database if I tweek 1 query. Could also port to XML database.

If you want to do a similar site but different category (eg: martial arts schools in North America) PM me and I can set you up with it.

code seems fine. pagination works, ads are working etc.

graphically, the banner ads graphics have to be made to the size of the div spans that hold them.

so a 200x200 px graphic has to go into a span that defines the img as 200x200px or you get distortion and artifacts as the software attempts to scale the image.
This is especially important with graphics that contain text.

for instance, your logo is a bit illegible and is compressed from the code. it's actual size is 192x104, but it is contained in a span that is 140x76.
If you made the graphic 140x76 it would be crisper. or you can change the span size (which would change your layout btw) to 192x104.

either way will show the graphic properly.

that's my only comment. other than that it seems quite functional.
Coconuts. Bananas. Mangos. Rice. Beans. Water. It's good.

I briefly looked at it, it seems nice. Sorry but I can't spend much time checking it out.

logo is just a placeholder until I get something real made for it :(

I was just goofing around when I 'spraypainted' TOP over the word 'tattoo shops'. thanks for the feedback, Darth.

whoops - just opened it in IE (I use FF). it's all exploded....damn. well it looks great it FF.

fixed it. gotta love positional CSS. just narrowed the container for the center results and it popped up to where it should be.

thanks mike. I just want a directory where people can google tattoo arists or tattoo shops and have our results turn up high on google to help shops get targeted traffic.

can you think of any other features I could add to the site to make it more interesting for people to use the site more?
