For those of you that care Corey Hill broke his lower leg doing a roundhouse kick on wednsday, one of those sick grousome breaks. Al-Hassan refused to tap and suffered the consequences. Here is some news on it though.

Corey Hill undergoes surgery for broken leg, sidelined for 12-18 months

After snapping his leg during a fight with Dale Hartt at Wednesday's "UFC Fight Night 16: UFC Fight for the Troops," Corey Hill has undergone surgery and will be out of action for approximately 12 to 18 months.

Hill, who broke his leg during the TKO loss, went under the knife this morning at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, N.C., according to UFC.com's Thomas Gerbasi.

"Hill is currently resting in the hospital with his family," Gerbasi wrote. "The former 'Ultimate Fighter' standout is handling the injury well and is in good spirits a day after suffering the clean break to his right leg while throwing a kick, which was blocked by Hartt."

The complete Hill-Hartt fight is available, free of charge, at UFC.com. (Viewing is not recommended for the faint of heart.)

Hill, competing in just his fourth professional bout, snapped his leg just 20 seconds into the second round. The loss dropped his career record to 2-2, which includes a 1-1 mark in the UFC.

In other news from the injury-plagued card:

Headliner Yoshiyuki Yoshida, who suffered a brutal knockout to Josh Koscheck, left the cage on a stretcher. He was treated for a concussion and released from the hospital that same night.
Jonathan Goulet, who suffered a quick knockout to Mike Swick in the night co-main event, was also treated and released due to a concussion. A potential knee injury will be examined when he returns home to Canada.
Razaak Al-Hassan, who suffered a gruesome armbar submission to Steve Cantwell, did not break his arm. However, he did suffer a a dislocated right elbow. An update on his status should be known by Friday.

But have you tested your prepositions against a live and resisting audience? Your prepositions may look pretty on paper, but do they work in the REAL world?
