The Reckoning On Wall Street, Bonuses, Not Profits, Were Rea

The more one sweats during times of peace the less one bleeds during times of war.

Ideology offers human beings the illusion of dignity and morals while making it easier to part with them.

Did you see Goldman Sachs is using government bailout money to pay bonuses this year. Thanks Mr. (former CEO) Paulson!

They're paying bonuses in the UK and the USA. They had Kashkari in Congressional hearings and he couldn't account for a single dime going to the benefit of any non-institutional mortgage holder, meaning a normal person or family who's going to lose their house. Total scam.

There was a quote I read somewhere that said "the small investors (read, 401k "investors", etc) are the plankton for the large investors". These are the same people who will tell you "now is a great time to buy!" and "the market always goes back up!".

The question is, what can we do to fuck up their system? I am not great with finances but I do want to see them fall.

I agree with qiphlow, but there's another alternative: liquidate most stocks, all pensions, 401k's. IRA's, etc., and buy deliverable gold and silver with 30-50% of that cash BEFORE February 2009. Use the other cash to get out of debt. The US Congress is discussing how to nationalize pension plans and all your 401k's have taken a huge hit in the past few months anyway since they were all invested into the profound bogusity of Wall Street. There ain't gonna be much of anything left one year from now in your non-governmental pensions.

Other options to satisfy Teo's query would be to begin local bartering systems or establishing your own regional currency. Some people are already doing this in the USA as the US dollar is kaput, just waiting for everyone to catch a whiff of the smell of decay.

Take this for what it's worth. Void where prohibited. Some restrictions may apply. Your mileage may vary. This offer not available in Hawaii or Alaska. For a transcript of this public service announcement, send three dead creeping charlies to...

The LARGE print giveth and the small print taketh away. :)

The fox of socialism is loose in America, and the hounds of reality are hot on his heels.

Wait and see. I have seen this already, how it plays out. It left me with a lasting distaste for chilled vodka and hidden microphones.

As long as you are using dollars, you are in their system. That's why now more than ever I would seek to be in money that is real, i.e., gold and silver. Investments of this sort are in essence outside the financial system.

Actually, the best thing you can do is do some clear needed job. Fix their cars, shoe their horses. Or make something useful.

Minus taxes.

Local tax
State tax
National tax
Business tax
Service tax
Sales tax
Value tax
Tax tax.

Uh...Any more questions about offshore manufacture?

My grandpa who was a depression kid calls that "people not making enough gidgets or widgets" Something useful as opposed to something scandalous.

But by buying the gold etc with dollars at the current dollar price, you're still "in the system".
Only way to avoid it is to go to bartering.
