Like JCVD, The Wrestler tells a very touching story about a former star who is washed up, broken, and beautifully human. I'm also reminded of how sad I felt watching Jake the Snake Roberts reveal his inner demons in a wrestling documentary, which ultimately finds him up smoking crack in a cheap motel. Rourke himself has seen his share of disappointment and shame in his life and it shows in the deep humility and sadness shown by his character. Go see it.
