My daughter broke her elbow when she fell off a barstool. At age 4.

Just a hairline fracture. She is perfectly fine. She healed superfast.

The biggest impact was emotional. Anytime anyone would show her sympathy or ask about her arm, she'd give them the look of death. She's a tough one. In fact, once in a while she will show up to the Fairyland Fight Club and chase geese with an escrima stick.

Anyway, when she fell off the barstool, she was under her mother's watchful eye. I was innocent. I was out drinking with my brother. :)

When my daughter was in the crib she'd bounce to the music.

Now ever since she started walking, when she hears a beat she starts shaking her booty.

The teenage years are going to be tough...got to keep up my gongfu. ;D

Buy a shotgun.

I'm teaching my son "avoid fathers with shotguns" gong. He already has a couple of little girls who moon at him whenever he goes to school.

Over here fathers start rusting a saw for those occasions. Not sure where it comes from, but I sort of like the idea. Obviously, whenever my daughter will bring a boy home, I will be busy cleaning some nasty looking knives. ;)

Surely you Canadians only need to buy a lumber jack jacket.... especially in the city.... that ought to be enough to scare off any young men....

one of the down sides to having only boys is I don't get to be scary dad

What - you're not defending your boys' honor from nasty girls out to take advantage?
