Binaural Beat ?

So, I was reading about this stuff, and I was wondering why I haven't heard of it before. I got a bunch of sound files but I haven't listened to them. Any of you guys have any direct info about it? (personal experiences, uses, etc)

no direct experience, but i did a cursory wikipedia search and it sounds like some really cool stuff.
these guys ( http://www.centerpointe.com/ ) have a free demo cd that you can get (i have one but have not had the time to play with it yet) that i think uses the same principles.

HHMM... One of my tree hugging, Saab driving, dual airbag patients ...you know sandals in the snow types rode with Harris when he just developed this system. He leant me the CD's ...I listened and there is a reason that they are not mainstream. If it really was as good the advertise it would be mainstream.
I understand the gist and I get the science...but it doesn't seem to work for me...try listening to Pearl Jam's Binaural instead.

Played around with this stuff all day today.
I like it for an experienced meditator. It's a lock on.
