software help plz!

Hey guys - hoping someone can help

I've got a bunch of ebooks and comic scans that I've recently transfered from my shitty little emac to my pc - which has a nice big hi def screen

BUT

When i go to look at these .jpgs or .pdfs - usually only about a fifth of the pics are viewable - my "windows picture and fax viewer" says "picture unavailable" or some such for most of them

I can't figure this out - on my mac they will all be fine pics - why would the 'pic and fax viewer' on my pc like some but not the others?

Can anyone recommend a picture viewing software for XP ?

Stupid question -- have you tried "Paint" that comes with XP? (Right-click on the file name while holding 'shift' key and select 'Open With', then select "Microsoft Paint")

Check your PM too.
