I gotta figure out what the little fuckers are in my mother-in-law's backyard... because they are all over the place and I don't really want my kid out there with them..

The Police are no match for an Elvish blade forged during the Goblin Wars of the First Era in the hidden city of Gondolin!

Don't forget the Phial of Galadriel. Couldn't have done it without the help of Cate Blanchett's creepy hotness.

I know what you mean. Very thexy. I just couldn't believe they cut that scene where Galadriel and Eowyn were fighting over that sub sandwich on a park bench. I think the producers were afraid of censorship since it was bi-racial. Made the DVD extras worth the wait. :o :D 8-)

sorry for the threadjack

looks like a black widow to me actually... the hobo is more hairy and not as shiny. plus look at the size of the abdomen.

Doesn't look dark enough to be a widow though...

Trap it and take it to an entomologist or an exterminator.

http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/insect/05607.html (look about halfway down that page to see other spiders)

It absolutely cannot be a brown recluse unless it was accidentally imported. Those are found in the south central & south east US.

I would normally also guess that given the behavior, it might be a "hobo spider", but your spider doesn't look hairy like hobo spiders. I'm thinking it's maybe a native funnel spider female instead. In any case, not anything you need to worry about. This isn't Australia!

I think it's a male black widow, or immature female.

actually the more i look at the first pics, the more I think it's an immature female. note how large the abdomen is, shininess, and the "sharpness" of the legs. totally looks like a black widow.

The spider in Chris' pic also lacks pedipalps - aka spider wangs/balls. Fong with the ID win!
