Just got back on friday and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there...even though it was pretty posh and not a real snapshot of the country, but ah well, what can I say, I'm a lazy tourist.

I liked the presidentes and the mama juana...although the latter was a little brutal depending on who brewed it.

Hey man, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. And yes, next time you should choose a closer spot, so we can hang out and take you to nice places and to taste some real dominican food.

Presidentes are the best in the summer, and the mama juana is much better when it has sweet wine and honey.

punta cana is pretty much strictly a resort area.

but it has some towns around it.
we stayed in bavaro and the closest city was Higuey.

no xingyi but lots of rum, beer, pretty women, warm ocean, nice sand and palm trees.
These things mean a lot to a canadian coming out of the winter hole. lol
