They're fuckin russia and they're not taking anyone's shit.

I think the protocol had Obama out of turn.

Medvedev first, then the guest. Obama was supposed to come after.

Apparently the Russians don't give that much of a shit about the new pres.
It's been a shit sandwich for him all along.

No adoring crowds, no media throngs. They are just not that into you Barack. lol

Watch it again. He is just introducing those guys, not trying to shake their hands.

Damn, you're right...
Thanks.
:-[

P.S. I see how they set it up! The very first one IS a handshake but they never show it (at about 3-4 seconds into it), it just cuts off into the next scene and then he SEEMS to reach out the same way but it's only similar, not the same... Damn... Bastards. 8-)

That's why they call it propaganda. The motivation of whoever created it was not to suggest that Obama (or the Presidency) should be respected. So, the question is what the creator wanted to accomplish.

Come on guys look a little harder next time, he's just introducing his own guys. Doesn't take much to get the rumor mill going.
Now this one is a little tougher to decifer...

we're not seeing the complete context of the introductions, just a moment that appears he's being snubbed (and perhaps he really is). We also don't know if it's because it's Obama, or because of all the damage the USA has had done by Bush and this is their response to the USA in general.

I like Sarkozy in that one.

there was a similar clip, that probably most people saw, of bush snubbed, at the G20 summit:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHrGpp_0AvY

then, i think, a clip was issued by the same (?) TV station backing off from/refuting this.

personally, i bought the bush clip at the time. i would have bought this one too, except i think david boxen is correct. thanks, david.

and i think steve is correct about this kind of thing. i.e., propoganda. it may/may not be true. what is often important is what the poster of the clip wanted to accomplish...there's a slant there, which may be accurate in a given instance, or not.

it's hard to tell.

this summer, someone i was working with showed me an i phone app. (called "i swap?"), which enabled someone to take a picture of two people and then exchange their faces. creepy. the potential of such things, in terms of photo/video propaganda, is large, IMO. this is slightly unrelated, but related in a larger sense, i think.

best...

Seriously? He is introducing people, it has nothing to do with the "damage the USA has had done by Bush" because there is no snub. All you America haters are really reaching on this one...
