Hmmm... "Salem's Lot" (vampires) "Jaws" (sharks) "Poltergeist" (pissed-off spirits) The book "Amityville Horror" (more pissed-off spirits, and MUCH scarier than the movie)
The exorcist had me shitting for a couple of weeks.
and one movie i saw on "chiller thriller" when I was a kid scared the bejebas outta me. I can't remember what it was called, but it was the first time i ever saw someone get their arm torn off and it freaked me the fuck out.
This movie scared the crap out of me when I saw it on tv as a kid.
What f'ed you up as a kid?
I saw that in the movies when I was a kid. My mother took me. I had nightmares for a month. Just today I ordered it on DVD to see if it's still as scary.
A couple of movies that freaked me out as kid, but which just looked really dated when I watched them as an adult were the original "Friday The 13th" and a made-for-TV movie titled "Manitou". I still think that "Phantasm" is pretty freaky though....
