Don't buy the "Kindle" Electronic Book...

Apparently, even after you've purchased an e-book for your Kindle, Amazon.com can remotely delete the book from the device if they choose to (and apparently they have)... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090731/ap_ ... le_lawsuit

The absolute irony is that the book that got erased was 1984.

Unfortunately, electronic books are coming and I can't imagine them not nearly wiping out affordable paper books. Very interesting times in the traditional publishing industry. But in the meanwhile, buy an old fashioned paper book and let them try to tear it out of your hands.
