Dee was an interesting man who led an incredible life. His Enochian writings are fascinating as is the later history of those writings and the ways they were used by both the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley. So much to learn, so little time...

Awesome! I just sold a FULL SIZE (2 foot high by 1 foot wide) Golden Anniversary edition of Hall's "Secret Teachings of All Ages". Only got $400 for it, but that's okay, I really need the cash. Incredible book in every way...

Isn't that a pretty long book? Must have been massive.

The library had busts of people's heads that Hall had done himself: Ghandi, Blavatsky, and Albert Pike. There were whole sections of the library for Theosophy and Blavatsky, and she and Pike's heads were on wooden Egyptian podiums. Speaking of Egypt, there was a section for Egyptology, made me think of Felipe :)

Didn't know how they would react to picture taking, but they were cool with it. Librarian was super cute, too, but that seemed the norm for L.A. while I was there. Oooo-la-la.

The appointed leader of the official opposition party in Canada, which is poised to become the ruling party in the next election, is an over educated academic who was absent from Canada for about 35 years. He last was a prof at Harvard and set out to become a figure of power in Canada in 2005.

He wound up being appointed to the position of liberal party leader after every other eligible member simply stepped aside. He was not elected into the role.

His name is Michael Ignatieff and there is a good chance he will be the next PM of Canada.

odd? I'll say.

even odder, he has two kids.

1 is Theodore, the other is Sophia, called "Theo" and "Sophy" by parents and friends.

Who's an illuminati? I think Iggy is.

no, not at all cer, it behooves one to make it clear and transparent as to where they are and who they are and what they are doing.
it's no fun if it's all concealed.

the obvious is the best place to hide afterall. :)

My mother taught me theosophy
Bought me a bicycle to make me strong
Made me eat beans and greens for good elimination
Gave me five One-A-Day's every day
Told me to stare into the sun so the power would enter my brain like a bullet

okay, name that song or songwriter (no googling!!)
