Well, there are reasonable reasons and there are unreasonable ones. People are ridiculing the unreasonable ones because the "communists want to kill your grandmother" arguments are, in fact, ridiculous. In fact, most people have no clue about what the proposed bills are, and that's exactly what's being argued in Congress (by the red-dogs and the blue ones). And, that's perfectly fine, imo. That's what's supposed to happen. But, the red-in-the-face shit is just plain ridiculous. Sarcasm and satire are just entertainment. That's how hamburgers get sold.
