Apparently John has decided to post on the Hong Ye board. So if anyone misses him too much, you can get a hold of him over there. I won't tell his username though. But if you read a bit you know who ;)

I have a 12" scar that wraps from front to back from when I had my left kidney and a rib removed after an accident 30 years ago. So my left side has always been a little lumpy. Besides, I need a certain amount of breadth across my pelvis and midriff to properly support all that upper-body power ;)

Nevermind that, Tom. Feast your eyes on that 75# longbow's perfect tiller 8-)

Shooter'?!?

Dang.

What's the deal with the longbow? Too many Frenchmen in your neck of the woods? (BTW, I am sure there is something missing there....can't quite put my finger on it ....aha! An arrow?)

Last I heard form you, you were (a) bashing your overweight son around and (b) building a Viking longship. You were born in the wrong century, mate. Still, glad to see you have moved beyond that skipping-gaily-through-the-forest phase.

Welcome back!

He's actually shooting a "Chi" arrow. Though you can't see it, it will cause your internal organs to explode... ;D

Yeah, Tom. I finished building that one a couple of weeks ago. Been making bows for about 25 years, but moved to strictly wooden bows in the past few. Fiberglass aint got no soul.

Good shooting posture, by the way

Hence the pseudonym. Thanks 8-)

Have I?

I saw one of the teams skipping around the mat on an episode of The Ultimate Fighter. I often see people from other sports doing the same thing. Maybe there's something to it that you're missing.

As for the rest of your post, you don't know what you're talking about

hahahah - for some reason "too many Frenchmen in your neck of the woods" and "building a Viking longship" made me laugh so unexpectedly hard an actual Cherrio shot out of my ass - and I don't eat Cherrios.
