The last words that I want to say are my intention here was trying to help as many people as I can on EF. But some members may feel that I was trying to be bossy. I have tried very hard to use my words so it won't offend anybody. Still, I fail big time. When I realize that it was not the words that I used but my opinion that offend people. I suddently realized that there is no hope to change the situation. It's just like a left wing liberal who lives in a red right wing conservative Bush lover state, no matter what you say, people will hate you and treat you as anti-Bush. I believe EF without me will have less tension and will be much more peaceful.

I don't think you failed, and I have no doubt whatsoever that you never intended to offend anyone.
I also disagree that "there is no hope in change" -- you won't change the "situation in general", but you did change some of the people, gave them food for thought, encouraged them to look at the all-familiar things from a very different perspective, etc. Even if only one of those "pro-Bush" people changed something in their mind or life for the better because of what you wrote, then you already succeeded. (Trust me, I know how that is -- I've been promoting Ron Paul... )

Anyway, I've always has a lot of respect for your love of SC and your expertise in that art, your uncanny ability to keep things civil and stay out of personal attacks. (And your humor, -- that's in a category of its own...)

I hope you either change your mind and not leave because of one little incident/disagreement, or at least come back. Diversity of opinion is always a good thing.

John, I'm really sorry to see this thread. I have always enjoyed your presence around here and your posts (even if sometimes I have not always agreed with you, but in general I share your opinions). I was impressed with your good nature and your humility, to be able to joke around and discuss things from equal to equal with people who have a fraction of your experience in Martial Arts.

The only thing that I have to say, that the Internet taught me that there are ALWAYS people who hold opinions contrary to our own. So, the thing is not to let this get to you. Arguments will pass, even if they are not always resolved one way or the other. We all have our own experiences, beliefs and views of reality. Sometimes they may differ enough to argue over them, but as long as we are anchored to our experiences and we stay truly honest, we know why we see things the way we do and most importantly why do these things are true to us.

I really hope to see you around. If not, I have you on DVD.
