Soooo, I was looking for some kind soul to have uploaded the Bagua and Hsing-I discussion from the Jet Li's "The One" DVD extras, and I found that apparently they're using bagua to model the Airbender on this cartoon movie that's coming out, and there are three other styles that are relevant, and have neat little vids.

I know I've seen a topic on this, but I don't remember seeing vids, so there.
Taijiquan is Waterbending

Hung Gar is Earthbending

Bagua is Airbending

Northern Shaolin is Firebending

Avatar is a series on Nick. Its about 3/4 of the way through the 3rd season. The styles are Earth: Hung Gar, Water: Taiji, Fire: Choy li fut, Air: bagua. Sadly they have no good MA advisors, but hey, something is better than nothing.

Yeah, I figure Hsing-I for Fire and Shuai Jiao for Earth would be better choices.

I seem to remember people involved in that show were posting on Kung Fu magazine back when it first came out. I can't remember the usernames though. maybe Gene knows them?

if you want TEH REAL MA, get off your duff and train. otherwise just enjoy it for what it is.
