I believe he can't.

The correct response should be....

I know what you mean. Until I learned the <SHIFT> + <Windows key> + F12 while yawing the mouse about 45 deg. clockwise, I always had trouble killing people with +3 protection spheres. Now, with the proper training, it's a breeze. Of course if they have adamantium armor, all bets are off.

Chris.

You perceive me as a dick because I paint you as the fool you are.

You don't know Liang but you make this outrageous claim?
I call you on it, and I'm a dick?

100 lbs? bullshit.

You show me the guy being fluid with 100 pound generals knife and I'll shut up.

However, you can't show me that, so why do you once again create this bullshit story and then harp on me for telling you you're full of shit even after you admit you don't even fuckin know the guy or anything about him.

That makes you stupid.

Then you go on to talk about your own expertise with the weapon in question and claim to possess one that is 10 pounds heavier than mine and that you are an adept as well but...etc etc.

All this from an argument about whether or not the killing was right or not.

Ridiculous.

p.s i have a perfectly lovely video of generals knife techniques in a set using a standard sized one.

I bet you can't provide that. You first and I'll post mine, unless of course, you're full of shit.

If not, i'll be quiet.

[Darth mode = on]
Why don't you just ask him to whip it out next to a yard stick and post it on bluetube or gootube, whichever fits?
[Darth mode = off}

Wow. Can you hear yourself? When I mentioned Liang Shou Yu I said "I believe he can", because I have not met the man and did not want to talk with the attitude of authority (LOL unlike SOMEONE on this thread!). There was a picture of him doing so in a book. Now you want me to go and film him? Funny dude.

And yes, I do have a 40lbs guan dao and I believe in the past we have even discussed it here on the old EF. Probably on a strength training thread in the past. Why that makes you mad is beyond me. But yes, mine is bigger than yours. ;D

I personally would love to see you put a video of yourself using the 30 lb kwan dao. I am not sure what your standard for being an adept is, but if you include some basic cutting videos of yourself using a normal weight kwan dao, on tatami perhaps, that would be excellent as well.

Took a little break today and went to a local Barnes and Nobel. In the current Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine there is an article about the strength training methods of Shuai Jiao which included some pictures of the man using a very heavy guan dao. There was of course no video of him moving with it but the photos showed him holding it overhead with one arm, and swinging it around overhead. The caption listed it as 70lbs. Training with such weights are clearly possible.

Does that mean you won't be putting video of yourself up? It certainly seems easier then asking Chris to find someone he has never met and convince them to let him tape their guan dao form (presumably including weighing the guan dao), and then post it on the internet.

Normally I'd say yes, but right now she's into some piece of French-Canadian clipart from Montreal. Says the accent melts her.
