what confuses me about this diagram is the arbitrary arrows. and what does that hyper-sprightly spiral down the middle do? if bottom spiral is earth, then the top spiral isn't north, is it? it's just up

My friend from far north of Scandanavia told me one strange thing which still happens on daily basis there...not sure it is a Sammi thing or not.

The women have a tree specific to each family which they have a lifelong link with, and when the husband goes hunting or to town they talk to the tree and he can hear her message,and she can pick up back to her.

She said the great thing was....her husband could never claim his batteries had run out!
