Upcoming Flicks: Trailers

Postby Andy_S on Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:03 am

Was just wasting yet more time surfing the Interweb and came across this little lot - so though I would present to RSFers so you lot can kill a bit of productiving too! Enjoy (or not).

Legion
Looks arse-scratchingly blah, but the 'Kindly Old Granny of Death' scene could become an iconic. (Albeit, only for those sad knackers who have not seen Exorcist III):

Daybreakers
A stellar cast married to an entirely uninteresting premise here, IMHO:

The Horde
Zombies et Crapauds? Oui!

Ninja Assassin
This was meant to be Rain's breakthrough vehicle, so why does it look like a Sho Kosugi ninja yawner - with NO apparent irony in sight? I confidently predict box office erectile dysfunction of the worst kind for this one. WTF were they thinking?

Book of Blood
Clive Barker's latest. Clearly leverages Edinburgh's spooky ambience, which has to be a good thing - that wee town has been underutilized by filmmakers, och aye.

Alice in Wonderland
Depp and Burton; Stephen Fry and Christopher Lee; Lewis Carroll and ultra whacked-out production design? Thanks, don't mind if I do.

Where the Wild Things Are
Apparently, Sendak approves and reviews are all thumbs aloft: THIS is the film I am looking forward to seeing with the wee sprog in tow this winter.

Not mentioned above, but we watched Zombieland last night -- it was great!

Another new one, Serious Man, looks extremely good though unfortunately it's a limited release.
