Interesting parallel drawn between the oppressed in East Asia and the oppressed in USA (ie urban blacks) picking up MA as a survival mechanism. Interesting also to read that some black thespians have reached the conclusion that MA filmgoers want to see good fight scenes; who the actors are is irrelevent.

I take it the remake of "The Karate Kid" will be titled "The Kung Fu Kid?" I must say, I can't see Jackie Chan pulling off a Pat Morita. Rarely has a script gelled so well with an actor.

incidentally I used to train with 2 of the fake FBI hitmen (the main FBI guy with the business card and the one getting the football helmet to the face) and one of the gang members in the leather jacket and red bandana getting his ass handed to him in the fight scene in the store.
