For those of you in the USA,

On Tuesday, November 3 at 10 PM et/pt, National Geographic will debut its newest television special about psychedelics. “Inside LSD” will air as part of the television series “Explorer.”

i just watched this last night. a bit of history, the obligatory stories from folks who found it useful, and the obligatory "LSD is dangerous and illegal!" hype so that joe tv watcher wouldn't run right out and try to rustle up some acid form his local dealer.
it's good that the gubmint is sponsoring some research, but i wish they'd let some more take place.
fun fact: 1 oz. (30ml) of pure lsd is enough to get 300,000 people high.
so who wants to split that 30 ml with me?

Thanks for the report Jeff. Seems like the research is slowly starting up again, the John Hopkins psilocybin mushrooms study was well received, Rick Strassman's DMT studies during the 1990's, increasing interest and research into ayahuasca, Iboga... this is the first LSD research I've heard of in recent times, I guess it's the most infamous of the bunch so hardest to get permission to study because of the media hype and general public hysteria over it.

I'm thankful that I never got my hands on a full vial of the stuff back in the day.
