I know what is up with American press simply refusing to pronounce his name correctly. It's not like it has sounds with don't have in English, unlike some Russian names/words. And they call the russkies crazy!

anyway, does anyone know what those white tubes are (fedor's striking coach is using them to whack him, presumably to train dodging/blocking/neutralising)? I've wanted to get them for a while now but I can't find anything similar.

The CBS promo for the fight I saw the other night said "fay-der". I was like "huh?"

I like Fedor's humility. The fight is going to be good.

Always reminds me of Bush Sr. when he would refer to Saddam Hussien as SA Dam which meant street urchin or something. I would have to look it up.

You have to take away the myth from Fedor first...remove that cloudy indistinct mythical demigod away and you have simply one of the most highly developed predators on the face of the planet.

No demi god...just a borderline super human. When I think of fedor and his build and fighting style I actually think of Captain America or Batman or something like that.
