Come on, the original fucked with the original!

It was a great story drawn by imagination with an occaisional illustration that was taken and made into a stop motion animation fest of monsterage.

I think you can fuck with the original movie. lol

Harry Hamlin. Really? there is better.

I agree. It's the story that counts. It's inevitable that it'll be redone. It should be redone. Now, whether "CotT" is good telling the mythology or just better special effects is another thing. None can be "better than the original." And, so I think that reading the originals, then seeing the films, is even better. Otoh, in terms of sentimentality, I like the versions that I saw as a kid. In a way, I wish there were more movies that weren't remakes, but that might be a wish for another childhood. Yeah, that's it; I wish there were more movies that made me feel like a kid again :) Not sure a new CotT will do it, but will at least give it a try on dvd.

The the '80s version was great, especially for its time. I think the remake will be great too...

The 80's version was fun, you can actually watch most of it on youtube! lol

It always bugged me that when he came from medusa's lair as shown in the pic above, he is basically standing in a ruin of a greek temple which should have been NEW in that time.

anyway... I'd like to see more of the myth's darkness of it as opposed to the happy hop head 80's style. lol

Is this going to be in 3D? Beause Beowulf kicked ass in 3D and I think all the swords and sandles and dragons and shit had a lot to do with that.

clash of the titans ('81) will always have a cheese value that cannot be topped by any amount of CG wizardry.

I don't have too much faith in it.

I guess they will add some explosions...no mechanic owl...

Pegasus is a bit gay, so he has to throw fire, or something...lol

I totally hear you! I lived for this stuff as a lad, back in the day, what not, all that stuff. ;D
The stories were what was important though is what I am digging at.

If this new movie has the story and the myth intact, then kudos!
If it's a cgi blowoutfestarama, then it will be a disappointing titillation. :)
