Shawn, have you ever thought about going into Security?
I know that here in L.A. where jobs are also hard to come by, the security firm that the county uses is advertising that they're hiring. So maybe there are jobs where you are. It may not be exciting or long term but it can pay the bills.

Troy: Yeah I did, bro. It's awesome, although the book started to disintigrate as soon as it got here. It's in like 3 pieces now...binding is no so good.

Bill: Thanks for the idea. I may look into it.

One of my buddies back in Dallas was out of work for over a year and just landed a job back in the IT field as a manager, which is a step up and less stressful than Network Admin. The time off gave him a chance to investigate some really cool leadership programs that obviously helped him get this new gig. So hang in there!

Hey Shawn, yeah that book had been well-read. You can take it apart the rest of the way until it's just a bunch of loose pages, then bring it to a Kinko's or other copy shop and have them do glue & black cloth tape binding for it that will be really good & strong. I've done that with old books of mine before.

Hang in there dude... Life goes in waves. Just don't give up - if not for yourself, then at least for the kid... 8-)

Yeah IIRC you've done a little bit of it in the past, right? Or maybe I'm confusing something as usual...
