So far, speculations say it's a Russian misfired rocket. Pretty spectacular, whatever it is.

yeah, it's canadian kids doing a space camp thing in the northern part of the country.

the actuals are not quite as fake as the photoshopped touch ups and look like pretty ordinary flare and rocket tests.

Yes. And it's in every major Norwegian newspaper.
The official version is that it is a Russian rocket launch from one of their subs gone wrong.

But that explanation is just too boring.
My theory - It's an inter-galactic portal. :)

But... Canadian kids.eh?

What struck me was that the picture really looks to perfect. Are there any links/sources to this being a prank and the picture photoshopped?

Another good video

Crazy stuff.. I doubt it's a rocket (sitting there like a pinwheel spinning?) but I also doubt it's some super extra-terrestrial. The end DID look like a nice smoke ring being blown away.

Turns out it's a russian nuke sub missile test gone awry.

for you tin foil hat crowd, that means it's an interplanetary dimensional rift being opened up by aliens that are hostile to humanity. run!

alternatively, it's a project blue beam test.

Well the aliens still have nothing on a NIN light show.
Colour me unimpressed by ET's tech.
