Yeah, totally fake. People always invent far-fetched stories to explain either their need for, or the danger of using a particular gadget. You can see this stuff on any forum dedicated to a particular hobby. First time I read something like this was in a stereo magazine in 1987 explaining the hidden benefit of the disc drawer open/close button on CD player remote controls. Dude sent in a letter about how he scared away a burglar with it. Remember CD players? Well, they were all the rage back in the late 80's. Remember the late 80's? Well, they were all the rage in the mid 80's.

Another one of these I remember was a motorcycle touring forum when full face lift helmets became popular and some dude invented a story about how he got the finger tips of both his riding gloves snapped shut in his helmet and had to decelerate from 90 MPH to a stop without crashing and without using his hands. Funny, but just as bogus as the pee-bottle man.

Truth is usually stranger than fiction. Personally I think this is likely real, and the OP is an idiot with OCD.

Second funniest story ever though.
I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a

bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -- Winston Churchill

Jeez, I dunno. That seems a bit over-the-top for reality....
