This one has a lovely section on dueling pistols as well. The French methods are fascinating: eg, one pistol gets the bullet, the other gets a blank but the duelists don't know which. Distance is defined by both participants holding onto the same handkerchief!!

Interesting it seems some states have no laws against dueling-

Maybe should bring it back more- challenge to boxing match etc, set up lei tei in park let kids issued formal challenge & duke it out, eliminate/reduce drive bys gangs- shoot outs where only inocent kids get killed etc. no hard feelings when boxing kick boxing match is over and so on.
