Well, for the moment I'm also still selling with eBay while testing the waters in other venues. Hopefully one of these other venues will work out 'cause eBay now totally sucks hot shit through a paper straw (as does Paypal)! But keep checking both venues for now. And bid, bid, bid!

How are payments handled through onlineauction?

I used to sell alot on ebay years ago, but now its awful. At the moment I have about 100 items listed in an ebay store and would welcome the opportunity to leave ebay for "greener" pastures. It seems interesting but questions abound.

You can offer a wide variety of payment options, none of them having to go through onlineauction. I specified that I will ONLY accept payment by money order. That way I don't have to deal with bouncing checks, reversed credit card payments, or Paypal loopholes costing me money.

When I tried to offer money order as a payment option through eBay recently, it wouldn't even allow me to write that in the "Seller's Payment Instructions" or in the body of the listing. They really want you to use Paypal because they own Paypal.

Thanks for the info. Money orders and personal checks drawn from certain banks were my preferred choice to receive payments but now you can't even do that. I had noticed that some people were putting their acceptance of money orders in the item discription, but apparently from what you have stated that option is now gone.

I use Craigslist as much as possible, especially for my big items (things that I can't or do not want to ship), but I would like to move onto another online site in order to reach a larger base of potential buyers.

I think that I will give it a go.
