Wasn't sure where the right place to put this would be but I've found a very efficient way to do something that doesn't really have any applications other than maybe saving my shins late at night, but as a byproduct of all this working the shenfa to the connective feeliing between myself and the ground and the "suspended from above" visualization.

Anyhoo, i've always been very uncoordinated when my eyes are closed or it's really dark. Well, now when my eyes are closed or it's really dark, i've found that when I drop my intention into my middle dantian to try and acess that xin heart/mind thing...Ie directing your feeling from the heart space area rathet than keeping the natural background intention in the head where the loudest bits of the "sensor array" are...then I have this much higher quality of balance and sensitivity in my lower body. It's almost like a weird sensory projection that I can almost "see", but that's not quite right...it's more like..have a lot of sensitivity and then be able to extrapolate a projection of whatever I've run into my brain as kind of like an almost visual memory projection.

It's really cool.

Actually after experimenting with it some when I do that with my eyes open and the lights on it feels kind of like I can do that with the area behind me where I can't see normally as well. That actually might have some application. kind of feels like eyes in the back of my head.

Oh, I forgot. You do Bagua, so if you do see spooks, you can do your Bagua Taoist Peformance Dance and exorcise the dickens out of them.

Seriously, interesting what you say about balance. Doing one legged work, a handy technique is to focus your eyes on one thing ahead of you - it 'fixes' you in place. But doing this kind of stuff with eyes closed is shagging difficult, so sounds like you are making progress.
