Nanotechnology-the next pandemic

Some while ago I posted some info on Magellons disease, the article suggested that it might have come from nano particles. Over the last few days AOL has had a series on Nanotechnology and how it has infiltrated the marketplace apparently without a squeak from the FDA. It appears in all kinds of body creams, is used to refresh vegetables and even to make ketchup flow better.Where there are studies they are scary, carbon particles in the lungs etc.It appears that Europe has more misgivings than the USA asking for studies rather than 'wait and see'

I think it is just a sales pitch. I mean probably the biggest area where its applied is shampoo Its just a way of making small sound cool. I mean "nano guy" sounds better than the guy with the small ... hands. Its pretty cool to be able to control form and function at a small scale but I don't think it is something that will slip past the radar. Unless they slipped the mind control nanobots into my shampoo. Damn no more showers for me!
