I made myself one from a broom handle. Even better than a kubotan because it draws less attention. You can carry it anywhere, even UK. Just pretend that you do exercises or some arcane massage with it. A metal pencil is just as good too (I lost mine: I spend 50$ on it, and the loss still pisses me off).

I am now of an age when it would draw no attention if I carried a cane. I am thinking I should, though I hardly need one. The problem is remembering not to forget--remembering not to lose it by leaving it behind in a taxi or restaurant or airplane, precisely because I don't need it.

I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.
