Mysterious Chinese creature? I don't think so

A creature dubbed the 'oriental yeti' is being examined by scientists after emerging from ancient woodlands in remote central China. [...]

First thing I thought was, poor thing, it's a civet that has lost its hair, likely to mange. It might recover if treated with a good strong sheep dip. But I'm no expert. Anyone here want to comment?

Local animal experts now plan to shipped the mystery beast to scientists in Beijing who will perform DNA tests on the beast.

Huh?
I define internal martial art as unusual muscle recruitment and leave it at that. If my definition is incomplete, at least it is correct so far as it goes.

I hope that they can at least be humane to it and not kill it to study it.

I wouldn't count on it living too long.

If the claim is that they don't know what it is, it is doomed already. It clearly has some sort of mange and is some type of civet or bush baby like creature.

Pity it now, it's probably already been killed. :'(
