I didn't see it, but someone at work told me about it. Apparently Silva's opponent had done a lot of trash-talking prior to the fight, so Silva proceeded to beat the guy in hit-and-run fashion for several rounds instead of finishing him for the quick victory. Apparently Dana White was furious at the display and said that Silva would be on undercards from now on, not top-tier fights.
he was putting on a master class in the first couple rounds, but then it just all seemed to go to his head..
The second half of the fight was a disgrace from the paying publics point of view. I'm not surprised Dana White is furious.
It was kinda funny and odd at the same time. First Anderson was taunting him to come in anf fight, then he was the one doing the running.. Just really wierd. Genius comes with flaws i guess. The first couple of rounds were like movie fu, or a playstation game. He's on another planet with his skill and physique..
I dunno. It'd be a good fight either way: if Silva came down in weight or if he went up. The only way to fight Fedor would be if Dana allows it on Fedor's terms. I'm not sure that if Silva has to go up and down in weight that the end result will prove anything. I.e., now we're talking about ppv revenue and fighter paydays.
As for showboating, it's just making money for Silva. The more he's hated, the bigger his paycheck.

In my opinion, in order for the UFC to really move forward and get that stable recharged with talent, well, dana has to go. He is the biggest dent in the wheel right now with his micro managing narcissistic ass hattery. lol
No Dana would see Fedor and all other fighters of that caliber able to contest each other without having to be beholden to some stupid ass organization that's in it for money and not for promotion of the sport.
Speaking of Fedor... I really love the guy's work, make no mistake, but what the hell happened in this fight, does anyone know?
part 1
part 2
This is very old news but I don't follow much of this stuff so I just ran into this yesterday... Looked like the other guy dominated him throughout but the final decision went to Fedor? Also what's with that weird arm raising by the judge at 1:50 in part 2?! The description of the vid says the fight was rigged... makes ya wonder. Anyone know the details/can explain what happened there? TIA
