Guilty pleasures

Postby northern_mantis on Mon Jun 07, 2010 10:50 am

Does anybody have any (martial arts related!) guilty pleasures?

The reason I ask is because I just did a David Carradine workout video and quite enjoyed it!

Do you like to twirl your nunchaku like a cheerleader? Or is The Karate Kid your favourite movie? I promise I wont tell anyone............. :)

Haha. Though they best beware, my mum does Tae Bo vids and will defend herself with her enhanced cardio and defined abs and glutes!

The reality is it a bit more wobbly, sorry mum. ;D

Come on people be honest, who likes to dress all in black and play with throwing stars in the back garden??

I don't know if its a guilty pleasure exactly but something about grocery shopping is so boring that I inevitably end up getting strange looks as I mud step up & down the isles.

And of course if its a bad martial arts flick I have to watch it at least once. If its from the eighties its immortalized in my brain.

I often find myself compelled to watch online film of nekkid ladies wrestling in pools of mud.

Is this abnormal?

Shadow boxing while walking down the street. It makes anyone look like a crazy person.

One of many pleasures. But I only feel guilty (slightly), if I've unnerved an elderly pedestrian. Guilt is a quite unnecessary emotion.

When I talk to friends I sometimes grab them softly and try locks on them. I used to do that to my wife as well, but, er, let's say I stopped that.

I hit walls from time to time, doesn't matter where I am.

I practice sometimes when im in elevators... By myself, anyway.
Horse stance, some five elements, or whatever little thing is on my mind.
