lord help us.

apparently it's from 1989 which means i was 10, and i still was young enough not to recognize gheyness when i saw it.

this is possibly even more ghey than the repeating close up of david hasselhoff wearing underpants with the picture of david hasselhoff on them, so be warned.

...admitting you like Van Damme movies is the equivalent of admitting you own ghey porn...

Dude, when I first saw his early movies I was, what, 14-15? I didn't even know what "ghey" meant... It was so cool to watch back then. Esp. since we were watching them on smuggled video tapes with that horrible single-voice dubbing...

I agree w/Shawn though, Commando was definitely teh shiznit, at least in my book.

(Which, in turn, paled in comparison with Bruce Lee's work... 8-))

I used to have a shitload of Van Damme movies. I'd have to go with Bloodsport because of the kumite scenes, but in Double Impact he had the best one-liners. Like (as his evil twin) "Take your silk underwear, get on the bus and go back to Disneyland!" and (staring at a piece of frog) "What's eet supposed to do? Make my deek beeggerr?" ;D

I'm the king of obnoxious Van Damme impersonations. Here's Jean Claude beating his wife as Guile in Street Fighter:

Now I must fire up MAME and play Street Fighter II.

I'm desperately waiting for this era's equivalent of the early '90s to start...
