I play on websudoku.com from time to time, and I just set my personal record, 6:27 at their "Hard" level (which only put me in the top 19%, i.e. I suck at it, there are plenty of people who are a lot faster...)
So, that made me remember a documentary I saw re. rubik's cube, they showed a world champ there, which just blew my mind. That, in turn, made me look for those things on youtube, and I ran into these, which brought me to a state of near-shock and utter humility (if you ever messed around w/Rubik's cube, you know what I mean...)
Here's a teenager, solving the classic 3x3x3 cube, ONE-HANDED, in 20 seconds:
Here's a 6-year-old, solving it in 37 seconds:
And here's a 3-year-old, 114 seconds:
If someone had told me a 3 year old could ever come even close to solving the thing, I would just laugh. I mean my kids were/are really good with various puzzles, but this level of ability is just so beyond normal...
Just... wow.
