Challenges...

The following typical threads that plague martial arts sites will get moved here if not just deleted: 1 - My style is better than Your style" - 2 - "Internal & External" - 3 - Personal attacks - 4 - Threads that start well, but degenerate into a spiral of nonsense.

Challenges...

simple rule book.

1. Show up with a coffee or atleast a lit cigarette. That way you can flick it in the face of the sifu...then kick them in the balls
2. If the person has a camera with him. Hit that person first.
3. Don't show up at a Chi Gong class and expect the best fighters to be there...
4. When you show up don't expect it to be recieved in a friendly manner.
5. Be expected to be charged money to fight the instructor. If he gets injured he loses his livelihood. Same go if he loses.
6. The seniors students all get first dibs...
7. Don't challenge the instructor, then push him away.

I have seen a few challenges. A brasilian individual ( bjj) guy showed up when I was talking with Ryabko. That lasted 4 seconds. In the infantry, a very fit individual challenge our instructor. That ended badly. My CLF has recieved many challenges in HK and here. The joke was "...dial 9 -1 ...okay start fighting..-1". I watched Lennox Lewis's bodygaurd punch Tyson in the head repeatedly on National news. Mr. Villari had a fantastic man who went everywhere with him. He dealt with all challengers. I recently met Bob Wall and Chuck Norris ...they didn't have anyone with them. When I asked Mr. Norris" Other then in the day, do you get challenged...he said 'yeah..Sudoko!"

Due to the recent events that have occured on this board that has spilled over into reality...or vice versa. Can't remember. I am asking all comers to add to the list. This is in humour. Cause frankly, no one gives a shit about spat's. ;D

Oh if this thread gets locked, let it be known that I got in before the end!hahhah

i don't know about the cigarette one.. that can back fire

one of my kung fu grand uncles
had a guy come up to him and want to fight with a cigarette in his mouth
he took the cigarette out of his mouth burned him with it and started hitting him continuing to do so as the guy was falling to the ground....

it should be like the scene from the good the bad and the ugly
if you want to shoot shoot - don't talk

now if you want a friendly sparring match then that is a different story

true...right up there with..." Bok Hok Kuen skool. " oh so you want to challenge the sifu, he is napping. If you want you can warm up over there. I am sure he wont care if you hit his striking bag or stretch" The guy goes over smokes the hanging bag, which is for grip training. Full of steel shot. Knuckles all bruised and swollen. They charge him for the ditdajow and the massage. The sifu wasn't even there.

Spoke to an old-school karate guy once who had two known herberts come in and front him up. He hit one with a chair, the other one changed his mind :-)

hahah..great story Rob. Heard of a buddy whose sifu got it in a chinatown resturant. Flipped the teapot at the first, he screamed. Stood up with the chair in hand. Every broke and ran. The sifu yells over the din to my buddy. "that's really kungfu. I didn't get hurt"
