Looks more like a young Dennis Hopper.

I remember hearing that there were no photographs of Yang Lu Chan. The famous one that everyone sees is actually a doctored photo of Yang Shao Hou. If you look at the famous portrait photo of YSH, you can see an uncanny resemblence.

Not sure exactly how true this is, but it wouldn't be all that surprising I suppose ?

bagua has the same controversy sort of. The famous picture of Cheng Tinghua is said to possibly not actually be of him.

I doubt that Yang Lu-Chan would have postured his head and neck as depicted in that portrait :-\

And what's up with the halo surrounding his head? ???

Yup. (There are other photo controversies, too - basically, the photo owner says, "this is a picture of Fred," but someone posts it on the Internet and says "this is a picture of Ed." Suddenly, everyone agrees that it is a picture of Ed...)

Because everyone says so, it is true.

I saw that picture of Ed that you speak of. He's a six foot five Serbian dude. Does Li Ziming's bagua with a very strong Taiwanese white crane flavor :D
