How ironic, considering the topic is "message board ting jin". 8-)

Switch that word to 'Many" and my statement is still accurate. Maybe "some" is more like it and "few" would also be appropriate if we start to care what that means etc...
I don't think I was nearly as interested in this thread as you must have been to go look for that crime against nature though. ;D

Was actually just kind of browsing. It's more to do with being a bit of a pedant about language.

Also, now that Fong listed the names, kind of surprised me how many there are.. . wonder how many of those names though, like me, have taught but do not consider themselves teachers. (yes,
I know it's hypocritical after just getting all pedantic about the use of language. . . ;) )

Hi fong,

Just a little clarification regarding my teaching experience. I spent a few years teaching tai chi chuan at my former school. It was a great learning experience and also had much to do with me leaving said school since much of what I had learned about tai chi chuan was from sources other than that system and caused conflict in some cases between what I was teaching and what I was taught.

I am not currently teaching classes. Other than an occasional push hands / tai chi chuan usage class for some former students.

I teach Pan Gu Shengong and oral English, but definitely not MA's.

And tonight is chicken wing and apple/celery/carrot juice night.

Hey, like Bruce, "I am not currently teaching classes. Other than an occasional push hands / tai chi chuan usage class for some former students." - that about sums me up too.

I've done my penance teaching beginners - 10 years was enough!

Recently started from the beginning in a new art too, and I'm loving not having the responsibility/hassle of being the teacher ;D
