Is the word "uncomplicated" a single-word oxymoron?

I'm one of those as well... ;) I just don't work in a clinic...

my culture my people
committing suicide
bonfiring history
unplugging the future
busy gangbanging nows

the treasury of art
letters philosophy
our civilization
shipwrecked on religions
and thrown into the sea

we're not going to die clean
but in a selfish fit
if we can't have it our way
we'll break it all to bits
take all the world with us

... guess you guys can see what kind of mood I'm in today

My 8-year-old had a crossword puzzle for homework yesterday, and we (the parents) got stumped at one of the words: "_ _ _ _ i _ _", with this description/definition: "Equal treatment of all people under the law."

I even considered "egalite", but it didn't quite fit the "under the law" part, and also I don't think there's an 8-year-old out there, probably even including French kids :), would know it anyway... So we left it unfilled and waited with anticipation...

He just got back from school, and it turned out to be...

"justice".

Freakin' morons.

Unbelievable.

::) -argh-

I'm gonna have a talk with him about it tonight, to make sure he got the proper (which is so much broader and more complex!) definition of it.

Idiots. :P

There was a young gal in the 70's, an actress who used the name "Joy Bang" for her screen credits. Not porn either, feature films.

US news sucks!

Did Beyonce lip sink? Did you see Hillary get angry?

WTF!

We have hearings on capitol hill because 4 Americans got killed yet we didn't have one hearing for the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis killed by Americans for an illegal war on false premises.

Where's their justice?

Also forget about having a hearing about Sandy Hook where 26Americans were killed on their own soil. Although everyone knows a massacre like that can happen again everyday for the rest of our lives no one dares upset the gun industry. Instead more kids will die and get killed by other kids.

In California you can't throw a rock without hitting a lawyer, although we're not French I think most people out here would have nailed that.

That is a definition of justice that's partly what kicked off the whole Occupy movement, the fact that the oligarchy in this country never face justice for their white collar crimes. Jackie Chan was right.

If God gets everybody's cultural references and in-jokes, but little ever seems surprising 'cause he knows what's going to happen, does he laugh? Would it only be to himself? Who gets his jokes?

^^ ...or is he a she? Maybe THAT is who marks that mysterious "Other" checkbox, found these days under the 'Gender' section on various forms?

I think we should refer to "him/her" as "it". Or come up with a brand new word that would be unique and used specifically and exclusively for referencing God. Like "shehit" or "heshit" or something. Or just "shit". (Yes I just went there, that's right. If you don't hear from me, I've been struck down and sent straight to hell.)

OK maybe "shi", as the true abbreviation of all three (she, he and it)? AND, it probably means 42 different things in Chinese, which earns it extra cool points for eclecticness (eclecticity? eclecticality?)

There are so many, many homophones in Mandarin that sound like shi that sometimes I think I'm stuck in a Land of the Lost episode over here.

Was just talking to my friend (coworker), and in the course of the conversation we realized that "Friday" was apparently called that because you are completely fried by the end of the day (and week).

Because pigs are genetically closer to humans than any other mammal, including chimpanzees, which is why we have pig hearts in people and not simian hearts.

FWIW, it's because bacon is extremely high in the 3 miracle foods of tastiness:

1. fat
2. salt
3. msg
